Mrs. Ruby Margaret Gray Stacy, 86, of Cowan, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana.
She was born on November 16, 1929 in Cowan, Kentucky, a daughter of the late John Harrison Gray and Hannah Evans Gray.
Mrs. Stacy was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of God.
She was involved with the missionary group at church; did volunteer work at the nursing home and was well known for singing at church services, revivals and funerals.
Ruby enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. P. Stacy, Jr., who passed away on September 21, 2002, son-in-law, Robert Beckett, grandson, Derek Tyler Stacy, two brothers, Roy Vaughn and Albert “Abby” Gray and three sisters, Patsy Harr, Marie Seyfert and Christine Clutch.
She is survived by three sons, Daryl Stacy (Marilyn) of Mays Lick, Jon Stacy (Nyiri) of Carlisle and Steven Bradley Stacy (Becca) of Cowan, three daughters, Sharon Beckett (B. J.) of Carlisle, Patty Hunter of Carlisle and Pam Simons (Wayne Secrest) of Lexington, twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Brother Steve Leitz and Brother Gary Biddle officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Clarence “Beaty” Mitchell, Kyle Stacy, Robbie Carpenter, Darrin McIntyre, Jeff McIntyre and Rick Elam.
