Mamie Rose

Mamie White Rose, 81 of Flemingsburg passed away Sunday May 9, 2021 after a long illness. She was the widow of John "Buck" Rose who passed away in 2014.

Mamie was born January 12, 1940 in Fairview, Kentucky to the late James W. and Elizabeth Thomas White.

She is survived by two daughters; Judy (Danny) Moran and Jan (Brad Stacy) Howard. Also surviving are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Tyler (Tracy) and Beau Moran of Elizaville, Katie (Russ) Mason, Kade and Brody Mason of Maysville. Brent (Becky) Howard and Braydon Roberts of Owingsville. Brie Stacy of Flemingsburg. Her brother, James (Kathleen) White of Flemingsburg and a sister Dixie Norton of Carlisle., her sister-in-laws who were like sisters, Patsy Collins of Flemingsburg, Gerry Moore of Jackson, Ohio and Jo Neilson of Scranton, Kansas. Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband and her brother G. W. White.

Mamie worked for 48 years at Wald Manufacturing in Maysville. She enjoyed her family and friends and was fun, spirited, upbeat and a fighter. She was an inspiration to all and helped to restore hope and faith for so many.

She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church at Fairview.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Fairview with Brother Bill Leet officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Fairview will be after 12 Noon on Wednesday.

Serving as pall bearers will be Danny Moran, Brad Stacy, Tyler Moran, Brent Howard, Russ Mason and Ben Moran.
