Fred Ruark

Fred Sherman Ruark peacefully joined the Lord Thursday afternoon, April 6, 2017 at his home in Maysville after over four years of battling many life-threatening conditions. He spent those last years with a grateful and thankful heart of the daily blessings that God bestowed upon his life.

Fred was born August 11, 1951 to the late Charlie and Betty Leet Ruark in Bourbon County. He and his wife, Carol Linville Askin, joined two families and made one on April 26, 1980, just short of 37 years ago.

Fred is survived by his wife, and three children: Candice (Jerry) Nolen of Denver, NC, Craig (Heather) Askin of Nicholasville, KY, and Sheena (Shaun) Denham of Georgetown, KY; seven grieving grandchildren, Kaity (Nick Luciani), Cody and Connor Askin of Nicholasville, KY, Kelsey Keaton and West Nolen of North Carolina, Skyler and Xander Denham of Georgetown, KY, and three loud but precious great granddaughters, Aaliyah, Annabelle, and Abigail. Fred is also survived by two loving sisters, Connie and Patricia Ruark, one brother, Robert (Melanie) Ruark and the greatest mother-in-law in the world, Nellie Linville. He also leaves many family members, neighbors, and special friends that will miss him dearly.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Marilyn Roades to honor Fred's life will be held at 5:00 pm and service at 6:30 pm Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Maysville Church of Christ in Christian Union Church at 1414 Forest Avenue in Maysville, KY. Cremation will be arranged by Price Bros. Funeral Home in Elizaville.

If the Lord leads, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Maysville Church of Christ in Christian Union.
