Thomas Anthony Whisman, 48 of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday at his home after a brief illness.
He was born in Mason County, Kentucky on June 25, 1971 to the late Ernest and Carolyn Saunders Whisman.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising a garden and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a former farm laborer and employee of Kendall Tree Service.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kayla Patton and granddaughter, Leyah Underwood.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Alexander Whisman, Seven children: Brittany (Brian) Mitchell of Nicholas County, Brittany Whisman, Heather Whisman, and Anthony Ray Whisman all of Lexington, Kentucky, James McCord, Harley Whisman and Jake Whisman all of Flemingsburg, Kentucky. One sister, Monica Whisman of Flemingsburg. One brother, Douglas (Cindy) Whisman of Flemingsburg. Twelve grandchildren: Audriana, Romeo, Alexis, Edwin, Ava, Emeri, Eliseo, Martine, Leonardo, Isiah, Annabeth and Harmony.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Brian Hester officiating.
Burial will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.
Visitation at the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville is after 12:00 p.m. Monday.
Serving as pall bearers will be Doug Whisman, Brian Mitchell, Anthony Ray Whisman, Rocky Perry, Chris Stanfield, Brian Hester, Bobby Jolly and Rusty Hollar. Honorary pall bearers will be James McCord, Jake Whisman, Charles McCord, Randall Burton, Ava Mitchell and Mike Gallagher.
