S. W. "Buster" Bailey, 90 of Pike Bluff Road, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg. He was the widower of Delores Long Bailey.
Buster was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on September 5, 1929 to the late Nat and Mollie Hawkins Bailey. He was a life-long farmer and long time hay baling man. He sold used farm machinery and enjoyed his buying trips with friends. For many years Elizaville was his resting spot for a coke and the news.
He is survived by his daughters; Sylvia Bailey, Vickie Burke, and Cibina (Sammy) Harris. One son, Billy Bailey. Grandchildren, Skip (Sarah) Burke, Jared Burke, Mollie Harris and Samantha Harris. Great-Grandchildren; West and Zoe Burke. His sister, Janice Horton, brother-in-law, David Green, sisters-in-law; Ellen Burke and Roberta Hodge and several very special nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Martha and Gerald Mitchell, his sister, Linda Green and brothers-in-law Bill Horton, Marvin Burke, Jr. and Gene Hodge.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Rev. Richard Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation at Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville is after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the Elizaville Cemetery, 153 Hilltop Road, Ewing, Kentucky 41039.
Serving as pall bearers will be Bobby Thomas, Terry Kinder, Larry Burton, Darin Burton, Blake Burton and Jeffrey Mitchell.
