Sara Jean Art

Sara Jean Art, 78, of Lexington, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, August 26, 2024 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. 

She was born February 17, 1946 in Ewing, Kentucky a daughter of the late David Art and Nola McFarland Art.

Sara enjoyed reading and crafting. She was retired from Kentucky Central Life Insurance Company and a graduate of Fugazzi Business School. She was also a member of the Ewing Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Art.

Survivors include one brother, David Art and Betty of Boone County, Kentucky; three sisters, Glenna Art of Lexington, Linda Art also of Lexington, and Sharon Art of Maysville, Kentucky. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be conducted at 1:000 P.M. Thursday, August 29, 2024 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Ingram officiating. 

Sara will be laid to rest in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 1:00 P.M.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.

Honorary casket bearer will be Bruce Darnall.

Memorial contributions are suggested to a hospice organization of your choice.
