Mrs. Rebecca Sue Cappoen Hope, 72 of Ewing, passed away Sunday at Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville. She was born in Portland, Oregon September 3, 1948 to the late Raymond and Sue Cappoen.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Roslin Hope and a brother Russell Cappoen.
Rebecca was retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center where she had worked in medical records coding. She was the first licensed female race horse trainer in the state of Arizona and enjoyed knitting, sewing, working in stained glass, traveling and vegetable gardening.
Survivors include her husband, G. Raymond Hope, one son Joshua Raymond Hope of Hillsboro, Kentucky. One brother, Norman Cappoen of West Linn, Oregon. Two grandchildren, Collin Mackey and Cody Edwards.
Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville.
