Marty Scott Brown

Marty Scott Brown, 55, of Ewing, Kentucky made his peaceful transition to his heavenly home on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born on February 19, 1969 in Maysville, Kentucky a son of Lewis (Sy) Brown and Scottie Gallagher Brown.

Marty was a fun loving guy with a one of a kind laugh. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. He was a free spirited individual with a strong work ethic. He enjoyed his work and was a proud and humbled by his advancement to a supervisory position at Greif in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Prior to his employment at Greif, Marty worked for Browning Manufacturing in Maysville, Kentucky. His hobbies included taking long rides on back roads with his family and friends (lately his sister), collecting coins and hunting arrowheads with his father. 

He was preceded in death by many aunts and uncles on both sides of the family who he loved deeply and missed, but is now reunited with. 

In addition to his parents, he leaves to mourn his passing his family which includes, his beloved sister,, Donna Gooding and his former brother-in-law Michael (Remona) Gooding; his niece Jessica (Tyler) Link and nephew Robert Gooding; great nieces, Arianna Link and Harley Gooding; great nephews, Erroll Gooding and Gatlin Gooding. Lastly,  Marty is survived by many special and loving friends cousins and friends that were always there to support and encourage him along his journey through his life; he also left behind a very special friend and former caregiver Rhonda Thompson who took great care of him during his time of need who the family is also very thankful for as well. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2025 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Brother Jerry Boling officiating. 

Marty will be laid to rest in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation at Price Brothers Funeral Home is after 11:00 A.M. Saturday until the hour of the service.

Casket bearers will be Michael Gooding, Bobby Thomas, Danny Moran, Billy Frederick, Johnny Wallingford, and Wayne Dugan.

Honorary casket bearers will be Doug Raines, Jeff Bodean, Mike Colliver, Don Price, Robbie Bishop, Greg Pollock, Scott Pfeffer, and Randy Craycraft.
