Mamie Mitchell

Mamie Dee Dailey Mitchell, 78, of Ewing, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the St. Joseph Hospital, Main in Lexington.

She was born on October 15, 1941 in Bath County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Bowles Dailey.

Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker, a good cook and she enjoyed playing Bingo, doing puzzle books, dogs, fishing and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Donnie Mitchell and Charles Mitchell, one daughter, Mary Shoemaker, two brothers, Arthur “Skin” Dailey and Ralph Dailey, one sister, Mildred Dailey and four infant siblings.

Survivors include one son, Marion Mitchell, Jr., (Sherri) of Carlisle, two daughters, Betty Riesenberg (Jerry) and Waynetta Mitchell both of Ewing, two brothers, Richard Dailey and Robert Dailey both of Nicholas County, four sisters, Annie Gates, Louise Sidles and Linda Mains all of Carlisle and Wilma Stamper of Paris, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the family home (2438 Mt. Tabor Road, Ewing).
