Mrs. Mae Shields Johnson, 84, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the Robertson County Health Care Facility in Mt. Olivet.
She was born on August 13, 1934 in Fleming County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Elmer and Phoeba McKenzie Shields.
Mrs. Johnson was retired from the Fleming County School System and was a member of the Wallingford Community Church.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, canning, boating and camping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Emil Robertson, Mabel Johnson, Elizabeth Peck and Marggie Jolly.
Survivors include her husband, Ernie Clinton Johnson, two daughters, Carolyn Hartley (Mike) of Flemingsburg and Karen Carpenter (Bill) of Mt. Carmel, one son, Everett Johnson (Linda) of Georgetown, two brothers, Everette Shields of Phoenix City, Alabama and Cray Shields of Flemingsburg, eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 29, 2019 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Brother Randy Hawkins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fleming County Cemetery.
Visitation at the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville is after 12:00 Noon Monday.
Pallbearers will be Carl Ray Darlington, Jacob Carpenter, Gary Carpenter, James Jarrell, Adam Hawkins and Mark Miller.
