Gwendolyn Hill

Gwendolyn Strawser Hill, Age 79, of Mt. Olive, North Carolina passed away on August 25, 2020 in Greenville, NC at Vidant Medical Center in the Comfort Care Unit.
Gwen had a long battle with Dementia but is now at peace with the Lord.
She was born and raised in Ohio but was a lifelong wife and homemaker in Kentucky. She moved to North Carolina with her son and daughter-in-law on
September 7, 2016 when her husband became deathly ill and quickly passed away shortly after the move and has lived there ever since.
Gwen was preceded in death by: her husband of 53 years – Bruce Hill, her parents -Theodore and Wilda McClatchey, and son-in-law, Lanny McCarl.
Gwen is survived by her 4 children: Son: Mike Hill and wife Melissa of the home, Daughters, Sharon Hill -Ohio, Shirley Hill -Texas, Susan Hill – Ohio, Sisters:
Nancy Blakenship – Georgia, Karen Padgett – South Dakota, Brother – Ted McClatchey - Kentucky, 6 Grandchildren: Shay Hill and wife Jennifer – North
Carolina, Chris Kuczenski – Louisiana, Robert Kuczenski – Texas, Dawn Cavenaugh – North Carolina, Laney Smith - North Carolina, Atley Smith – of the
home, 3 Great-grandchildren: Aubrey Hill – North Carolina, Easton Kuczenski – Louisiana, Eryn Kuczenski – Louisiana and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be conducted 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 6, 2020 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Rev. Greg Grimes officiating.

Private burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.

Visitation at the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville is after 3:00 P.M. Sunday.
