Gilbert Allen

Gilbert Anson Allen, 64 of Fairview, passed away Thursday evening, January 2, 2020 at his home after an extended illness.

He was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on February 16, 1955 to the late Earl B. Allen and Edna Mary Buchanan Jolly.

Gilbert was a retired farmer and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, caring for his animals and spending time with his family. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Timothy Dewey Allen.

Survivors include his son David Scott Allen and Christina Kiskaden of Flemingsburg. Three brothers, Andrew Allen of Fairview, Kentucky and George B. Allen and Bill Clarence Allen both of Ewing, Kentucky. One sister, Mary Katherine Pollitt of Hamersville, Ohio. Six grandchildren, David Lee Allen, Alexa Brooke Allen, Madison Paige Allen, Daniel Ethan Allen, Tiarra Hannah Allen and Kelsey Leann Allen. Three step-grandchildren, Brittany Marie Kiskaden, James Michael Ishmael and Hailey Lynn Ruth Ishmael. Also, several nieces, nephews and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Brother Danny Howard officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.

Visitation at the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville is after 6:00 P.M. Monday, January 6, 2020.

Serving as pall bearers will be B. J. Allen, Andrew Barton, Andy Allen, Dewey Jimison, Harold Riley and Jamie Black.

The Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville is caring for all arrangements for Gilbert Anson Allen.
