Cody Thomas Buchanan

Cody Thomas Buchanan, 40, of Ewing, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. 

He was born November 11, 1984 in Nicholas County, Kentucky a son of Cindy Ishmael Anderson and the late Marion Thomas Buchanan Jr.

Cody had worked as a mechanic, but his true passion was farming. He owned and operated the Maple Hill Farm on Metcalf Mill Road in Ewing. Cody also enjoyed dirt track racing and trap shooting.

He was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church.

Cody was preceded in death by his father, Marion Thomas Buchanan Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Mitchell Buchanan; his mother Cindy Ishmael Anderson and her husband Jack; two sons, Ryan Buchanan and Gabby and Clay Buchanan and Debbie; one brother, Luke Tyler Buchanan and Kayla all of Ewing; one grandson, Phoenix Thomas Buchanan; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Brother Greg Grimes officiating. 

Cody will be laid to rest next to his father in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.

Visitation at the Price Brothers Funeral Home is after 5:00 P.M. Friday, February 14, 2025

Casket bearers will be Clay Buchanan, Ryan Buchanan, Luke Buchanan, Aaron Bunch, Eric Dean, Roy Hickerson, Terry Kinder, and Dean Mitchell.

Honorary casket bearers Danny Stephens, Steve Buchanan, Darrell Lynch, Gerald Saunders, and Jack Anderson.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hillsboro Christian Church in memory of Cody.
