Charlie Gayle Jolly

Charlie Gayle Jolly, 70 of Pleasant Valley Community in Nicholas County, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, Kentucky. 

He was born April 29, 1954 in Nicholas County, Kentucky a son of the late Ollie Ray Jolly and Lucy Edna Ellison Jolly. 

He was a warehouse worker at Kentucky Lighting & Supply in Lexington, Kentucky and he was also a farmer. Charlie was a member of the Blue Licks Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, fox hunting and was also a judge of fox hunting and riding horses. He was also an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat fan. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Randy Jolly; one brother, Gary Jolly; two sisters, Izora Morgan and Rosetta Sue Whalen. 

He leaves to mourn his passing his family, his wife Mary Florence Jolly who he married August 22, 1971; one daughter, Rebecca Perkins (James) of Nicholas County; two brothers, Robert Jolly of Nicholas County and Harvey Jolly of Pendleton County; four grandchildren, Dustin Jolly, James Perkins Jr., Jayden Perkins, and Maelee Perkins; four great grandchildren, Levi Perkins, Oakley Perkins, Laikyn Perkins and Kendyl Curtis; several other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Thursday, March 6, 2025 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Pastor Jeremy Cantrell and Brother Mike Watson officiating.

Charlie will be laid to rest in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation is after 1:00 P.M. Thursday until the hour of service.

Casket bearers will be Melvin Morgan, Josh Morgan, Dale Brown, James Perkins Jr., Jayden Perkins, and Dustin Jolly.
