Charles Ray "Charley" Barnett, 58, of Morehead passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky on October 7, 1961 to the late Brent Barnett and Marie Swartz.
Charley was retired from Toyota Manufacturing in Georgetown where he was a supervisor. He attended Morehead State University and was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat fan and enjoyed golf, college basketball and football, collecting guns, bowling and also enjoyed movies both old and new releases. He was a United States Air Force veteran, a member of the NRA and a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Tyler Barnett and Cody Barnett (Kayla Bradley) all of Morehead. Two daughters, Chandra Barnett of Morehead and Amber Stevens (Derrick Watson) of Maxey Flats. One sister, Paula Flora (Kirk) of Elizaville. Three grandchildren, Jacob Edmond, Raelynn Watson and Easton Cash Barnett. One nephew, Casey Flora and one niece, Aliesha Flora. Also several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with remarks by Bill Leet and Eulogy by Will Robinson.
Burial with full military honors by the W. N. Fant American Legion Post No. 5 and the Franklin Sousley VFW Post No. 1834 will be in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery at Fairview.
Visitation at the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville is after 6:00 P.M. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Charles "Chuck" Lester, Jeff Nickell, Marty Swartz, Dean Barnett, Casey Flora and Simm VanArsdale.
Honorary pallbearers will be Will Robinson, Mike Van, Mark Bush and Jordan Davis.
In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the National Association for Down Syndrome at www.nads.org or the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church 6184 Ewing Road, Ewing, Kentucky 41039.
