Wanda "Dean" Buchanan
March 22, 1938 — August 26, 2017
Mrs. Wanda Eulene “Dean” Buchanan, 79 passed away Saturday afternoon, August 26, 2017 at her home in Ewing.
Dean was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on March 22, 1938 to the late Orville and Nannie Belle Harris Johnson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Thomas “Tommie” Buchanan on December 27, 2014. Also, three brothers, Robert Johnson, Ronald Johnson and Larry Johnson.
Dean attended the Christian church and enjoyed flowers, sewing, the outdoors, fishing, caring for her animals and pets and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Marion Thomas (Jennie) Buchanan and Stephen Troy (Jennifer) Buchanan all of Ewing. Her grandchildren, Cody Thomas (Jennifer) Buchanan, Luke Tyler (Kayla Ross) Buchanan, and Kendall Marie (Andrew) Cooper; great-grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Buchanan, Clayton Taylor Buchanan and Brayden Carter Buchanan. Sisters, Doris (Carl) Bays of Flemingsburg, Kay (Dennis) Vice and Teresa Florence all of Lexington and Jewell Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Pastor Greg Grimes officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home is from 5:00 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday.
Serving as pall bearers will be Cody Buchanan, Luke Buchanan, Ryan Buchanan, Carl Bays, Roy Hickerson and Andrew Cooper.
