Maxine Ahlgren

Maxine Betty Newton Ahlgren, 88, of Ewing, Kentucky passed away Sunday July 10, 2022 at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

She was born in Newtonsville, Ohio on July 19, 1933 to the late Clark Newton and Ethel Green Newton.

Maxine volunteered at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio for many years and she was also a restaurant supervisor.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by eleven siblings.

Survivors include her husband James Ahlgren, one daughter Dyanne Zamora of Amelia Ohio and two sons James Jim Engel of Murrieta, California and Jack Franklin Engel Jr. of Covington, Kentucky. Fourteen grandchildren,, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home at 5:00 PM on Friday, July 29, 2022.
